Can it almost be August? We just got home from our family trip to Texas. Kids pretty much ruled this one....water slide here....pool party there....bowling alley over there.... We adults decided to just surender to them; after all we still have our memories as kids. Strange to almost watch these memories form right in front of us. At any rate, we had a blast. As our kids get older, they get funnier, sharper, and even better!

Not to worry, however. I am still greedy AND sly and I managed to slip away on an antique excursion one day with my son Henry. I got loads of goodies and agree that Texas is an amazing state for vintage buys. Henry was sooooo good and he even managed to convince me to buy a gittered hen type item which I am sure I will post a picture of later. I am going to use it in a window display for what I don't know. Anyway, I am sad to see summer slipping away.....
